Recently I’ve been doing some online training for BSAC for their online special interest skillset of webinars called Hone at Home.
In addition I was asked to do a live webinar on introducing commercial scuba diving. This I hosted via Zoom, with 34 attendees.
It’s purely an overview of what commercial diving is, and how recreational divers can get into being paid for diving.
As a side to that, I run commercial diving internships. I train people from having no experience to being a CMAS3 entry level commercial diver (not sure what a CMAS3 is then watch the webinar below).
The cost of doing an internship with me is £3000. It varies in length but the quickest time it takes is about eight weeks but can be spread out rather than just eight weeks continuous. At the end of it you will be a CMAS3 commercial diver, qualified boat handler, first aid at work qualified and have over 100 dives. In addition, when working doing commercial shellfish diving in the later half of the course you will be paid a share of what is caught, which could mean that you get back your initial £3000 investment.
