A little dived wreck just off St Davids headland in West wales is the Portland wreck. I’ve dived it a few times and loved it.
It was built in 1868 in Portsmouth and at the time of its loss was owned by Hook Shipping co ltd, of Haverfordwest. It was on route from Porthgain to Pembroke.
Its a lovely wreck hidden away in the Porthlysgi Bay, only accessable by boat out of Porthclais.
Once located, the remains are sitting on a stoney reef with lots of bits to see including winches, loads of fish life and chunks of steel which have become reefs for the sealife.
Its also only in approx 10mtr of water so great as a first time dive for newbie divers and for the weekend of fun when you want somewhere sheltered.
The wreck is located at 51°51’51.5″N 5°17’54.3″W
