Snowdon Horseshoe Scramble

Scrambling Crib Goch, North Wales

Snowdon is Wales highest peak. Its also crazily busy with tourists most days. In order to avoid the main crowds, there are a many other routes that involve some scrambling and more interesting routes to the summit. One of these is the Snowdon Horseshoe route that takes in Crib Goch.

Its another UK classic scrambling route and probably the best overall route on Snowdon if you can cope with the exposure of the route.

This route combines the ascent of Snowdon via Crib Goch from Pen y Pass and descends via Y Lliwedd back to Pen Y Pass. A great outing and a long days hike.

If you would like to be guided around this circuit by me, a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors, please get in touch with me on 07534 387152 or book on a mountain day with me using the inks below;

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. I am a Mountain Instructor (MIA), a Winter Mountain Leader, a Scuba Diving Instructor (BSAC, TDI, SDI, IANTD), a skipper for CAT3 waters up to 25mtr and as I’ve built this experience over time, I have written about it and published those works. In addition I am a Chartered Manager with CILT, a member of the institute of Engineering & Technology, a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. I help people fulfill their goals in the Mountains (Worldwide), Scuba Diving (Worldwide), provide location support worldwide for the media and assist with technical and safety support whenever requested.
