Its been a strange year for most of us with the lockdowns and having to cancel and postpone work and courses etc. I for one had a difficult start to the year, but that has all been overcome now with a good summer and autumnal season of diving and training.
Speaking to a lot of divers, friends, clients and seeing posts that have been put up on various forums etc, there are a lot of people who have had courses cancelled or postponed due to the various issues related to this years issues.
As such I have decided to offer Mixed gas courses over the next few months in an effort to help people achieve their ambitions of becoming mixed gas divers. These shouldn’t be affected by specific dive centres being open or closed as I intend to offer them in controlled inland locations where we can get the depths we require.
The intention is to do all the training and skills in three locations locations to allow training courses in the South, mid and North of the country; namely Vobster Quay, Stoneycove and Capernwray Dive centre. Then for the deep dives I intend to utilise Wastwater in the Lake District. If the dive centres are not available, then we will run the entire course in the Lake District using controlled locations in open water.
With regards to gases, I will supply the trimix (if you’re unable to get it) for the deep dives (at cost), but you will be required to provide any Nitrox and Air fills and bring them with you to Wastwater – most places are currently offering air and nitrox.
Dates will be based around numbers booking onto the courses but I will run the course with a minimum of one person booked on it.
