Vlog 18th to 24th Jan 2021

Lockdown fun, work, family and staying focused…

Another lockdown week started with a days work in Seahouses, Northumberland, overlooking the stunning Farnes Islands, sadly no seal diving on this trip. I picked up a new dive lift for my dive boat and headed back home. We started the installation of the lift , thankfully just before the massive dump of snow that we had across South Wales.
Each day I try to get out and get my 10,000steps in, its a way of staying fit and keeping focused.
I spent a day doing some DIY, stripping out an old mouldy shower ready for a new one to be installed. I also enjoyed a day out doing winter skills, albeit building a snowman and throwing snowballs instead of snow-holing and ice axe arrests! And more home-schooling. All in all a good week despite the lockdown.

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. I am a Mountain Instructor (MIA), a Winter Mountain Leader, a Scuba Diving Instructor (BSAC, TDI, SDI, IANTD), a skipper for CAT3 waters up to 25mtr and as I’ve built this experience over time, I have written about it and published those works. In addition I am a Chartered Manager with CILT, a member of the institute of Engineering & Technology, a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. I help people fulfill their goals in the Mountains (Worldwide), Scuba Diving (Worldwide), provide location support worldwide for the media and assist with technical and safety support whenever requested.
