Adventures with Mark Vol10

Vlog 8th to 14th Mar 2021

This has been a good week. I was back up in Scotland doing some professional mountain guiding for a photographer in the Cairngorm Mountain range. A spectacular location to explore. It was a bit wild this week so we kept it appropriate to the weather. The first day we went to summit of Cairngorm Mountain at 1245mtrs. The second day the weather was too wild to be on the tops, so we stayed low and did a circuit around the Rothiemurcus forest through the Chalamain Gap and the Lairig Ghru – a stunning day. For the final day we relocated south to avoid the worst of the weather and were rewarded with a spectacular ascent of Schiehallion – a Munro with a height of 1083mtr. I spent some time repairing the van to keep me on the road, and celebrated Wales win over Italy, as well as celebrating Mother’s day with my mum. A great week, looking forward to getting back out recreationally soon enough…

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. In addition I hand dive for Scallops and Sea urchins.
