Scientific Diving

Tech Diving Scapa Flow

Linking back to my commercial diving services, Scientific diving can be great fun. The scientific diving I get involved has been predominantly for the Environment Agency and the servicing and maintenance of their tide gauge network.

This involved diving inspections of scientific equipment across 43 various sites in the UK. As a commercial diver involved in this I was very fortunate to dive as part of a five person team using surface supported self contained underwater breathing equipment.

In addition to the environment agency diving, I have been involved in diving for work on researching and mapping out wrecks, marine life identification and recording and researching locations for monitoring equipment.

I also train recreational divers to become qualified research divers, enabling them to start their career into commercial scientific diving. If you’re interested in this aspect, then please have a look at this course.

If you have a scientific or archaeological project taking place and require suitably experienced and qualified HSE commercial divers, please consider my team and I for your project. We would love to get involved, no matter how big or small the project.

If you are looking for a scientific diver, or a scientific diving team, please get in touch with me on 07534 387152 or email me.

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. My real passion lies in combining mountains and water and as such you’ll often find me either in the mountains altitude diving, or in the mountains ice diving. Both exhilarating and peaceful – allowing me to regenerate the inner me, whilst pushing myself physically and mentally.
