Adventures with Mark Vol 14

A great week of walking in the Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons. The first walk was up a mountain called Lord Herefords Knob or alternatively known as Twmpa. The second walk was from Talybont reservoir onto Craig Y Fan Ddu and then follow the ridge escarpment to Fan Y Big and a precarious walk onto the Diving board. We then descended into the Bwlch ar y Fan (windy gap) and then up Cribyn, before we followed the old roman road to Torpantau mountain railway station, and back to the cars at Upper Blaen Y Glyn. In addition to this, I’ve been teaching more first aid, and working back on the boat.

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. My real passion lies in combining mountains and water and as such you’ll often find me either in the mountains altitude diving, or in the mountains ice diving. Both exhilarating and peaceful – allowing me to regenerate the inner me, whilst pushing myself physically and mentally.
