Mountain Navigation Training

As much as the UK is a well developed country, there are many of us who love to get out in to our national parks and explore them, either alone or in small groups. In addition, there are people who just love being outdoors, be that cycling, running, or the many other multitude of activities that we can get up to in the great outdoors.

As a professional mountaineering Instructor and winter mountaineering leader, I understand the value of being able to navigate well. Without it, I may not be coming home.

As such, I offer navigation training for everyone. Whatever level you’re at currently, I can help you develop your navigation skills. This maybe mountain navigation, practicing for upcoming mountaineering assessments, micro navigation, for teachers wanting to brush up on their skills before taking school groups in the hills, or Duke of Edinburgh Award participants wanting to develop their skills and knowledge.

Whatever level you are at, I can help you achieve the next level, build your confidence and skills in a safe a friendly manner.

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. My real passion lies in combining mountains and water and as such you’ll often find me either in the mountains altitude diving, or in the mountains ice diving. Both exhilarating and peaceful – allowing me to regenerate the inner me, whilst pushing myself physically and mentally.
