Rescue Skills & Diving Coniston Water

Today I’m based in the Lake District diving in Coniston Water. I’ve not been before so it was a lovely location diving in dark yet clear waters.

We dived out of Bailiff Woods, which is a small carpark on the eastern shore. Great diving with depths of 40mtr +

The aim was to help with rescue reviews for a potential BSAC advanced diver. This included Basic Life Support, throw lines, CBL from 20mtr plus much more.

Following that I headed upto Turner Hall campsite for the evening, meeting up with Dan who’s going to help me tomorrow run some rescue scenarios at Hodge Close quarry.

An absolute corker of a day, here’s looking forward to what tomorrow brings.

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. My real passion lies in combining mountains and water and as such you’ll often find me either in the mountains altitude diving, or in the mountains ice diving. Both exhilarating and peaceful – allowing me to regenerate the inner me, whilst pushing myself physically and mentally.
