Diving West Wales

We’ve just finished four days of great diving off Scavenger in Milford Haven. The weather has been interesting and certainly not the best, but we’ve made the most of it and everyone on board has enjoyed themselves and achieved what they wanted from the trip.

Yesterday we headed out to the Highland Home wreck which was slightly exposed to the wind, but the swell was manageable for the divers experience and ability. Vis wasn’t the best but nether the less a good dive was enjoyed by all.

This was followed by some rescue drills and basic life support on and around the boat in Mill bay where we sheltered for lunch.

Then it was out to the Lollipop on mid channel rocks to enjoy a reef and drift dive.

In the evening we assisted a yachty in the marina with attempting to replace the antenna on his mast. It ended up not happening due to having too small a rope through the mast. But it was lovely to meet Gaz and his family aboard the Dragon Explorer.

Today we stayed within the Haven getting two good dives, firstly on Thor and then finishing off on the Caroline. That done, we headed into Dale deep mooring to do a CBL, which was carried out well.

And to that end we wrapped up a successful few days diving.

Joshua and I brought the boat back into the Marina and gave her a clean down, refuelled her, done our shutdown checks and tied her in for the night.

Now to relax for the evening and catch up on some admin.

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. My real passion lies in combining mountains and water and as such you’ll often find me either in the mountains altitude diving, or in the mountains ice diving. Both exhilarating and peaceful – allowing me to regenerate the inner me, whilst pushing myself physically and mentally.
