Scavenger Coding Inspection…

Over the last few weeks we’ve been working flat out on Scavenger, upgrading lots of stuff and making the boat slicker.

As part of that, which I’ve mentioned before, lots of friends have given up their time to support me and brought their skill sets to bare to make Scavenger the best she can be.

Today I had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of Ian Spice from Sea Sense Surveying (https://seasensesurveying.co.uk/)

A common sense but meticulous approach as we spent seven hours going through every nook and cranny of the boat, checking and inspecting every aspect of her.

As well as inspecting Scavenger Ian was a font of knowledge and guidance answering all my questions without being condescending, regardless of how daft they may have been.

I’m pleased to say that by the end of the day we had passed this stage of the coding for the CAT3 process and as much as anything else I’ve garnered loads of information that can only make me better at what I do.

Really looking forward to the journey ahead with input from Ian.

To make this happen, as I’ve said numerous times before, huge thanks must go predominately to Andy Hughes for the tireless commitment, expertise and friendship he’s shown me this year whilst getting Scavenger ready. Very much appreciated!!

In addition to Andy, I have to thank Edwin for lots of help with lots of stuff, including brilliant footage, electrical work and feeding me at the end of long days working. Thanks!!

And the other main individuals are my partner Laura and Son Joshua who have both given up so much of their time and energy to make this happen, thanks guys, love you lots x

In addition thanks to everyone at Windjammer Marine in Milford Haven and Dai and Dan at LGS in Pembroke Dock for lots of advice and dealing with my random 11th hour requests.

Final thanks go to Pete and Charlie for believing in me and letting me take on Scavenger and trusting me with their boat. Thanks guys – eternally grateful.

Here’s to seeing what the future brings!! Thanks to everyone who’s dived off Scavenger over the last year and here’s to welcoming new people to experience Scavenger!!

I am a passionate adventurer, loving being in the mountains walking, climbing, scrambling as much as I love being under the water exploring shipwrecks, mines and caverns, or in search of treasure in the depths. My real passion lies in combining mountains and water and as such you’ll often find me either in the mountains altitude diving, or in the mountains ice diving. Both exhilarating and peaceful – allowing me to regenerate the inner me, whilst pushing myself physically and mentally.
