This is the SDI Ice Diving course and will be run to the standards as published by SDI.
Ice diving is a specialist skill. Its not as straightforward as traditional diving courses. In order to comply with the standards, a minimum of two competent staff are required at all times when on the ice. As such, the course costs reflects this. This course is £325 per person.
The course is one day diving plus your e-learning which you need to complete prior to doing the practical day. There will be no more than two people training on the same course. You may book additional days ice diving once qualified.
In the 2021 season, I am operating the courses out of Loch Insh outdoor centre near Aviemore in the Highlands of Scotland. Accommodation fees are not included in the costs. Loch Insh can be driven to, but they can also arrange pickups from Inverness Airport (1hr away) as long as arranged in advance, and payable directly to them.
A joining kit list and information sheet will be sent to you upon completion of your e-learning course.
You must be medically fit for this course and will be expected to sign a medical form stating so at the start of the course, be over the age of 18 and hold an open water diving qualification as a minimum.
In the unlikely event that there is insufficient ice to carry out the course, then we will still carry out diving on that day as it would be impractical to offer refunds or cancellations, potentially allowing you to achieve the altitude diving speciality instead.
By submitting this form you accept my terms and conditions. Payments will be invoiced post booking form submission.
