Loch Etchachan is the UK and Scotland’s highest lake. This altitude dive is a serious undertaking and can realistically only be completed with two days. The alternative is a very long day.
The cost is £450 for the experience – once your booking has been received, joining instructions will be sent to you.
The costs includes a guided walk to the lake, an overnight stay in the Hutchinson Bothy, a guided altitude dive within the lake and your altitude diving qualification. If you are already qualified, the guided diving is £400 for the two days.
Altitude diving in Loch Etchachan is a strenuous and physically demanding undertaking. Please be aware that you will be required to carry all of your equipment to the lake and back in order to undertake the dive. The lake is a walk of eight miles from the nearest road and an altitude gain of 700 meters from the road.
